Problem

Error Code 5: Email Failed to Send


Why does this happen?

This happens when there was a problem with your SMTP server, PDF generation or Captcha settings.



Solution

Step 1 | Google Captcha


a. Access the Global Settings menu of Stylish Cost Calculator.

b. Do you have Google's Captcha settings turn on? If yes, try turning it off.




✅ Did it fix the problem? If yes, then you have a problem with your Google-captcha settings. Verify you have the correct API keys.


⭕ Still, have a problem? Then, Google Captcha is not the problem, please proceed to step 2.


Step 2 | PDF Generator


Let's test if the problem is the PDF Generator by trying to download a PDF in the backend.


a. Access to your calculator in the dashboard (backend).
b. Click the Detailed List button.

c. Click the Save icon.

⭕ Did it fail? Try removing your banner and logo in the global settings menu. If that fixed it, re-add it back. It could be a missing file, corrupted file or wrong image format. 




  Did it work? If yes, then the problem is not your PDF Generator. Proceed to step 3.



Step 3 | GD Libary


In order for Stylish Cost Calculator to work, it needs the GD PHP Library.
a. Click Diagnostic in the Stylish Cost Calculator menu.
b. Check if you have a green button under the GD library.



⭕ Is it red? Then, talk to your hosting company about how to install the GD Library.

Is it green? Then, the problem is not the GD library, please proceed to step 4.



Step 4 | SMTP Settings


In most cases for Stylish Cost Calculator to work, you need to have a proper SMTP plugin that routes the emails via your own SMTP server.
a. Access the WP SMTP plugin
b. Click Settings
c. Click Email Test (https://prnt.sc/15pvl85)
d. Send yourself an email test.

Did it fail? Then you have to fix your SMTP setting. It may be the wrong port or credentials.
Did it work?
 Then, the problem is something other than the four things above. Please submit a trouble ticket and advise us of all the troubleshooting steps that you have taken.
