How to Activate & Use This Feature
1. Go to the Calculator menu > Select Calculator Settings > Currency Settings > Price Rounding.
2. Choose the Rounding Type.
The feature offers five distinct rounding modalities, each catering to different levels of pricing precision:
- Nearest Tenth (1 decimal place): Prices are rounded to one decimal place, refining costs to the nearest tenth of a unit. For instance, $123.45 becomes $123.50.
- Nearest Whole Number: Prices are rounded to the nearest whole number, eliminating decimal points for simplicity. For example, $123.45 is rounded to $123.00.
- Nearest Tens: This option rounds prices to the nearest ten, streamlining pricing for easier comprehension. A price like $123.45 would round down to $120.00.
- Nearest Hundreds: For a broader rounding scope, prices are rounded to the nearest hundred, suitable for higher-priced items. $123.45 becomes $100.00, and $178.45 rounds up to $200.00.
- Nearest Thousands: This is the broadest rounding scope, rounding prices to the nearest thousand, which is particularly useful for very high-value items or services. $1,234.5678 rounds down to $1,000, and $1,789.56 rounds up to $2,000.
